This was filmed in August of 2020, during the pandemic. I wanted to make a film while also being safe, so this film was made only with people living in the same household.
I had a dream similar to this one when I was very young, where I was stuck in this infinite loop of terror. I always have wanted to make a short movie out of it. The styling and feel of the film is inspired by David Lynch's Eraserhead, as well as a few other horror films ranging from 1975-1980 (a few modern ones too).
To those who are curious, I filmed this on the BMPCC4K camera with a 24-70 f/2.8 lens. It was filmed in 8:1 raw in 4k, and edited in Resolve. Most of the visual effects were done in Fusion.
